An update on Mom

Hello everyone,

I wanted to give you a quick update on our Mom.

She has had several great days! She continues to keep her eyes open for an hour or two at a time and she has started to show more facial expressions. Yesterday she was answering my questions by raising her eyebrows if the answer was YES! It was truly a miracle! {Now I have the answers to several questions that have been lingering for 6 weeks, thank you lady!!}

Please keep the prayers coming, they ARE WORKING! God is Great.

Thank you!
Love, Rachel

  1. Hi Rachel, John, Kelly, Michael, and all. Your precious Cathy has been so much on my mind and in my prayers. Please tell her that we said hello and love her very much. John and I still reminisce often about past times in Kingwood with your family. I am more appreciative than ever of all of the sweet moments we have shared. Love to you all. Cindy & John B

    We are so glad to hear of Cathy's progress and please know we are thinking of you both and all your family as Cathy continues her recovery. Each day is a miracle and she is indeed making progress. And we know she has her strong family by her side and you are all cheering her on. Bless you all!!

    Larry and I worked with your father at Metro during the 1980's and also lived in Kingwood Bear Branch on Riverlawn Drive back then. We fondly remember many Senior Staff meetings with your Dad and Mr. Kiepper!
    We are still in Bermuda and our thoughts and prayers are with you and will continue to be!
    Our very best regards, Sharon and Larry Jacobs, Bermuda

  5. So elated that Aunt Cathy continues to show signs of improvement! Thinking about her all the time! Your blog is such a beautiful tribute to her and a testament to what a great Mom she is with your lovely notes to her and the beautiful pictures of her and your family. Sleeping Beauty is going to love reading it! Love you-Melissa

  8. Rachael,
    It is so comforting to read this blog as I have had your mom on my mind, and in my prayers, for many weeks now. She and I worked together at Kingwood Medical Center for 15 years. On more than one occasion we spoke about the existence of angels in our midst, especially after caring for one patient in particular. I was so moved when I saw her "Army of Angels". I said to myself, "how absolutely perfect"! Your aunt hit the nail on the head, so to speak. You are doing such a wonderful job of keeping everyone abreast of what is going on with this wonderful gal that we all love!
