Be Thankful

So it hit me this week past when I realized how big my baby is getting, he is growing up way too fast. What happened to our little 7 pound 1 ounce newborn that we just brought home from the hospital? Everyone told me babies grow quickly but I guess I didn't realize just HOW QUICK!

Last week we packed away all of his 6 six month clothes and it kinda made me sad but then I decided not to be sad, but to BE THANKFUL! We have a very healthy growing baby boy! He's a happy soy boy! John Chris is 5 months old and wearing 9-12 month clothes, we think he might be a tall one like his Grandpa Sedlak. Below is a picture of him sitting in his new high chair, he loves it and John and I love having him sit with us at the table, such a big boy!

Everyday is a gift with our sweet angel and we are very thankful to watch him grow before our eyes!

Weekend Getaway

Last month, John and I went on our first weekend trip without our little John Chris in tow. We to Breckenridge, CO with sweet friends {Scott and Sarah} and had a weekend full of skiing, laughs, delicious food and lots of wine! It was fabulous to get away for a few days but I missed my little man like crazy!!! It was the first time in four months that I wasn't with him all day, every day! I may or may not have cried A LOT the two days leading up to the trip. I knew once I left the house I would be okay, and believe it or not, I WAS! ; )

John Chris stayed with his Mimi and Papa {John's parents} and had a wonderful time! They sent several text messages with pictures of our cute little guy having fun, which made me feel "not as guilty" for leaving his sweet baby face for a few days.

When we came home John Chris was as happy as ever, he probably enjoyed his long weekend break from Mommy!

Our first Swim

On Sunday, we took John Chris in the spool for the first time. He absolutely loved it! He would splash and then laugh, priceless!!

I think we have a future swimmer on our hands!
